Pastor / Teaching Elder Pastor Mark Fontecchio comes from a troubled past.  Before coming to know Christ, his life was filled with many trials.  In August of 1993 he accepted Jesus Christ as his Lord and Savior in a jail cell.  Since that day, his life has never been the same. The Lord has used Pastor Mark to shepherd churches in Appleton and Green Bay, Wisconsin.  Despite the formal training that he has received, he credits his study of the Word of God as the greatest impact on his ministry and life. In the summer of 1996 Pastor Mark met his wonderful wife Angie.  They were married in May of 1997, and have two children (Micah and Hannah) that have brought countless blessings to their lives. After living in the northland for almost two years, the Fontecchio family became burdened for the need to establish a church in the area that was committed to the solid teaching of the Word of God.  In June of 2003 they started a small bible study in their home.  In November of 2003 the study moved to Ashland and by February of 2004 Northwoods Bible Church had adopted a constitution.  Sunday worship services began at the end of March in 2004, and since then the church has continued to bring glory and honor to Jesus Christ.
